Gear Fit2 Pro

The Gear Fit2 Pro comes in a fitness band form factor and it comes in Black and Red colors. The display is a 1.5-inch Super AMOLED unit and the Fit2 Pro is backed by a 200mAh battery. However, the Gear Fit2 Pro comes equipped with a 512MB RAM as opposed to the 768MB unit on the Gear Sport. The Fit2 Pro also misses on the NFC, gyroscope and an always on display. This also means that the Samsung Pay will not work on the Gear Fit2 Pro.

The Gear Fit2 Pro also supports other functions like map display, standalone GPS, option to reply with canned messages and real-time notifications. As we mentioned earlier apart from the RAM and the Sensors the Gear Fit2 Pro is identical to the Gear Sport.

Gear Sport

The Gear Sport offers a circular dial that houses the 1.2-inch super AMOLED Corning Gorilla 3 display at a resolution of 360 x 360. Powering the watch is a dual-core 1.0GHz processor paired with 768MB of RAM and 4GB of storage. The 300mAh battery is rated to last for four days and supports wireless charging via the bundled dock.

That apart the Gear Sport is water resistant up to 50 meters and it supports activities like walking, running, cycling and also other aerobic exercises like dancing. The best part, however, is that the watch can also record activity type details, for instance, it can record your swimming stroke type and lap time. The device also offers active heart rate monitoring along with auto activity detection. Samsung has also partnered with Armour Record, MapMyRun, MyFitnessPal and Endomondo for activity, nutrition, sleep and other tracking functions.
